The anime series adapted from a Japanese visual novel premiered on April 5, 2014, on Tokyo MX. It's a reverse harem anime which means that a female lead is surrounded by multiple male characters. While the genre is not as popular as the regular romance fiction, it does have some smash hits and was the very reason that Kamigami no Asabi attracted significant audience numbers. Mythological, humorous, and heartwarming with a dash of romance, the anime scored a rating on MyAnimeList and a 7/10 rating on IMDB. Despite an excellent rating, the show failed to get picked up for a second season. Perhaps it was meant to be a one-season anime because the storyline was pretty definitive.
